Der große Jogl: Birkfeld - Strallegg, Birkfeld
The stage of the touring mountain bike route “Der große Jogl” leads from Birkfeld to Strallegg.
“Der große Jogl” leads through all eleven municipalities in the Joglland - Waldheimat region. At around 193 kilometers and 5413 meters in altitude, it is also one of the longest continuous bike tours in Styria. The tour leads along forest and meadow paths, forest roads and various road sections to the most beautiful places, most interesting excursion destinations and highest peaks in the region.
A special service along the tour “Der große Jogl” is the luggage transport - simply cycle carefree, without any annoying extra luggage. While you are on the road, your luggage will be taken to your next stage destination (by 5 p.m. at the latest).

Birkfeld is located in the center of the Upper Feistritz Valley in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.
By car:
From Vienna: A2 to Hartberg, B54 direction Graz until junction Pöllau, Birkfeld. After Pöllau turn left to Birkfeld about 15 km.
From Graz: A2 to Gleisdorf exit, B64 direction Weiz. At the traffic circle before Weiz, take the B72 towards Anger, Birkfeld. From Weiz approx. 25 km.
From Salzburg: S6 via Bruck, Kapfenberg to the Allerheiligen im Mürztal exit. Immediately after the exit, turn right towards Fischbach, Birkfeld. Approx. 35 km via Schanzsattel to Birkfeld.

- From here we cycle about 4 km on the Feistritztalradweg R8 and turn right to Strallegg
In summer, you can cool off in the Strallegg outdoor pool - perfect after a bike tour.
