NOOM - for more beer diversity in the "Genussregion"
In the basement of the former Gasthaus Wiedner in Riegersburg, NOOM Wild Ales produces wood-barrel-aged and spontaneously fermented beers with a great deal of passion and precision. Fascinated by historic beer styles such as lambics, gueuze and Berliner Weisse, brothers Jakob and Johannes switched their range from classic craft beers to wood-aged beers at the end of 2019. With a great deal of flair, they create beers for very special moments. Each of the beers is given the time it needs to develop in barrique barrels and develop a special character. NOOM beers are stored in oak barrels for up to 18 months before being bottled. Yeasts and bacteria form the heart of their beers. No pure yeasts are used for the fermentation of the beers, but a wild mix of yeasts and bacteria from nature. Thanks to the Brettanomyces yeasts they contain, all Noom beers are very suitable for lagering, can be kept for years and change their character over time. The taste is also influenced by the wild yeasts, making almost every beer a unique creation that is produced in limited quantities. Most batches contain 450 liters, the equivalent of two barrique barrels. Master brewer Jakob Marn finds inspiration for new beers in nature. It is therefore only natural that the brewery only uses regional and almost exclusively organic ingredients, some of which come from the brewery's own cultivation. NOOM's beers are vibrant taste experiences that celebrate nature and dedication to traditional brewing.
There are currently no fixed opening hours. The entire beer range is available at Spar Gölles in Riegersburg, among others.
