The Neumeister winery is already run by the third generation and is dedicated to organic-biological viticulture in the Vulkanland Steiermark in Straden.
Christoph Neumeister is the third generation of his family to run the Neumeister winery in Straden, Styria. The steep and challenging vineyards in Straden, which have been farmed organically and organically since 2013, are characterized by poor, chalky sedimentary soils from the Tertiary period and Sarmatian gravel. The mixed Illyrian-Pannonian climate requires a lot of manual labor, but allows for a long growing season and late harvest. Careful hand harvesting, extended maceration periods, gentle aging in the cellar, spontaneous fermentation, long lees contact times and late bottling result in the structured and elegant wines.
The family also runs the "Saziani Stub'n" and the boutique hotel "Schlafgut Saziani".
