The alpine chapel "Maria Loretto" is one of the most popular mountain chapels, since in summer it can be easily reached on foot from the car park.
The Maria Loretto Alpine Chapel, which stands at 1,850 m above sea level, was built in 1935 (under the Rosenkogel), after the chapel had been burned down by lightning during the First World War. Maria Loretto Chapel is a very small, simple wooden construction built on a stone foundation. The seclusion of the chapel and the magnificent mountain panorama invite you to a silent prayer. In winter it is a popular destination for ski touring and snowshoeing.
