With 10 ski mountains and over 230 km of perfectly groomed pistes, every skier finds the ideal run. The heart of the Schladming-Dachstein ski region is the famous Schladming 4 Mountain Ski Area. Including the ski mountains of the Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, it offers a grand total of 123 km of uninterrupted skiing enjoyment. If you love slicing through freshly groomed snow, you might also be curious to discover a number of highlights on and next to the piste, such as the 1460 m long Funslope, the Crosspark, the Music Piste and Ski Movie hills. Our smaller ski mountains are ideal for beginners, families and children. Thanks to a total of 90 km of blue-rated pistes, it has never been easier or more enjoyable to get your first taste of skiing.

Boasting 220 km of ski trails, Ramsau am Dachstein is the Nordic center of the region and Styria’s poster child for cross-country sports. The trails on the sunny high plateau above Schladming lead through broad expanses of snow, past traditional mountain huts, and are suitable for beginners as well as experienced XCers.

And where the pistes and ski trails end, is precisely where the Schladming-Dachstein Region offers you countless other winter opportunities. The snow-blanketed countryside serves as the perfect setting to experience nature in its countless glorious facets. Whether wrapped up in a blanket and snuggled in the back of a sleigh, trudging through knee-deep fresh powder snow or hurtling down the hillside on a toboggan, day or night – variety will definitely never be in short supply.
