The 38th Austrian International Storytelling Festival celebrates the diversity of modern storytelling with international artists and fascinating performances such as storytelling, poetry slam, puppet and shadow theater, dance and music.
Under the motto #herostories, the focus this year is on inspiring heroine stories that show that anyone can be a hero. The festival initiated by Folke Tegetthoff invites young and old to stories from all over the world from June 12 to 14 in Stainach-Pürgg:
- On 12.06.2025: A morning full of fantasy for schoolchildren with the “Matinee of Stories”
- On 13.06.2025: “Of princesses, herbs & destinies” - Folke Tegetthoff's exclusive best-of program for adults
- On 14.06.2025: The big “Festival of Fantasy” - a fairytale family day with 3 hours of colorful program in and in front of Trautenfels Castle

Accompanied by music, Folke Tegetthoff takes us into the distant worlds of the stories that have always enchanted us all - his love tales & herbal tales - and also tells us about his very own most beautiful moments.
The location is also truly magical - after all, where better for fairy tales to unfold their effect than in the ambience of a castle? One thing is guaranteed: This evening of storytelling and music promises to be another magical moment in all our lives!
