City tours are a nice addition to get an overview of Schladming's eventful history!
During a leisurely evening walk with our city guide, you will experience the ascent of the medieval mining town to a well-known tourist destination. Together we go in the old town on the search for the history, which shaped our place.
Our meeting point is the town hall in Schladming, from where our city guide will lead you through the alleys to the old market judge's house. We continue our walk past the Protestant church to the entrance of the Talbachklamm, where we follow in the footsteps of the old miners.
We continue our way to the first power station of Styria and to the "Bruderladenhaus", which was built in 1661 and today serves as a town museum. From there it is only a short walk to the "Salzburger Tor", the last preserved town gate of the former fortifications. Only a few steps further we reach the oldest building of the city - the Annakapelle. It is located on the church square next to the Catholic church.
Along the well preserved city wall we walk back to the Schladming town hall.
